After years in the hospitality industry working for major corporations, large scale family owned businesses and independent restaurant groups, I decided to form STW Hospitality. My goal, to live the life I love, be passionate about what I do and be part of shaping the future of the hospitality industry.
At an early age, I learned the value of hard work from my father and grandfather who worked tirelessly to give their families the best life possible. I listened and at the age of 14 took my first job in the hospitality industry at Forest Lodge Catering. I learned the ropes from a great leader who showed me the ins and outs of the business, believed in me and gave me my first opportunity to be a manager. I was hooked. I learned all aspects of food and beverage from the back of the house to the front. I loved to cook, but I loved seeing the end result even more. Which would lead me on a journey through all aspects of Food and Beverage and eventually leading a team of over 600, in a 2,600 room resort with 150,000 square feet of meeting space in Atlantic City, NJ. Responsible for a diverse food and beverage portfolio generating $75 million annually. It has been an amazing journey, I had the opportunity to work with extraordinary leaders and hospitality professionals, I learned so much from those around me and I was mentored by some of the best in the industry.
My goal for STW Hospitality is to use my experience and knowledge to change the industry, to improve team member culture, fine tune the guest experience and drive growth. I want to help operators improve their work and life balance, while achieving their goals and creating memorable guest experiences.
This blog will highlight not only my views on hospitality and the projects I am working on, but my adventures in life, travels and experiences. It is a glimpse at what drives me, what inspires me and what makes me tick. I invite you to follow along on the adventure of my life.
